really funny that every website is in an arms race to make itself as bad as possible and immediately someone makes a firefox extension to fix it

HOT STRIKE SUMMER CONTINUES

i’m going to keep it real with you tumblr userbase… if we don’t want tumblr as we know it completely ruined you’re probably going to have to flood tumblr on the app store with 1-star reviews. we need to make their ANALYTICS hurt. we need to make management scared. we need to explain in those reviews exactly why we are mad. say what we don’t want changed (or do want changed back). i am so serious.

This actually doesn’t help at all. Especially if you’re leaving a review based on debunked misinformation, of which there has been A LOT going around lately. They have a feedback form for a reason and that’s because those are more easily sorted and tagged on the backend because it probably goes into their customer service software database, like HelpScout or Gorgias or something (these are what we used at my old job.) Feedback tickets have been known to get very speedy responses.

Also I want to emphasize– staff has transparently said that a lot of the changes that are going to be happening are more or less experimental. Meaning, nothing is going to be permanent if you are good about being vocal *in the feedback tickets.*

does your default rectangle based sierpiński pyramid need m0r3 1t3rat10n5?

i made this like two months ago with blender geometry nodes

image

behold this fucking bush of nodes. i dont fully understand how this thing works anymore. but it sure works ‘w'👍

i chose the rectangle base interpretation because it means more pyramids per pyramid. looks cooler too imo. and yes i said rectangle and not square.

image
image

i tried recreating the shape as close to the original icon as possible. lining it up in orthographic perspective. and found that the base is slightly wide

image

it doesn’t look like it in the render because of the flat shading, but the pyramids aren’t truly pyramids. they’re concave. this is to prevent the eyes and mouths from clipping into the pyramid. i fooled y'all >:3c

i’m sorry. here, have one more

WOMEN ENJOYERS!!!! ATTACK!!!!!

youngchronicpain:

Whenever a person walks out of the accessible bathroom stall and sees me, a wheelchair user, sitting outside waiting for the stall, they often apologize.

In the beginning, I said, “No worries!” Because I was too scared to be confrontational.

Then I started saying nothing.

But after a while, I realized that some disabled people may be a portion of the people that apologize. And I never want to make an invisibly disabled person feel bad for using accommodations that they need. There are many different reasons a disabled person would need the stall!

(It is tiring waiting for ages while someone uses the stall to change, or do their makeup. It is not annoying for anyone who needs the stall to use it.)

So, I’ve decided to start saying, “That’s okay! I believe every disabled person should be able to use the accessible stall!”

Because then, if they are invisibly disabled, hopefully that will put them at ease.

And if the person isn’t disabled, it will remind them that the accessible stall is not just “the big stall.”
